About Us

Since its inception in 1993, the Massachusetts Network Communications Council (MassNetComms) has promoted Massachusetts as a global center for telecommunications and networking. As the market has expanded to include a multitude of new business ventures, poised to capitalize on opportunities for hardware and software products, MassNetComms ensures that these businesses receive the support necessary to succeed in a competitive international market. Driven by growth in demand for voice, data, and video services, as well as ubiquitous wireless and wireline networks, telecommunications products and services offer enormous potential for suppliers and consumers in Massachusetts and worldwide.

MassNetComms provides a forum for leaders in the industry to explore key technical and business trends that impact all segments of the telecommunications sector, including services, hardware, and software. Educational programs on leading markets and technology, coupled with our marquis events, highlight and examine pending opportunities while providing professionals a chance to learn from the experts and network with potential partners and customers.

MassNetComms conducts research on the industry's size, scope, and trends, which provides valuable information to business leaders, policy makers, analysts and the public on the magnitude and successes of the industry in Massachusetts. Our public policy initiative provides members access to policy makers, and provides policy makers with a better understanding of our industry's needs. Through MassNetComms workforce initiative, we have a successful scholarship program, and partner with multiple organizations in the Commonwealth to support and promote technology education and careers.

Mission

The Massachusetts Network Communications Council supports voice and data communication companies as they build successful and growing businesses in Massachusetts and New England. By providing advocacy to the state and federal government, education about key technical and business trends, and visibility with customers, partners, and investors, the MassNetComms fosters entrepreneurship and growth in the telecom sector in Massachusetts. Through our successful workforce development activities, including a unique scholarship program for high school students in Massachusetts, we help ensure a vibrant and well-trained workforce in the region long-term.
