Workforce Development

The future of the telecommunications/networking industry in Massachusetts depends on a strong and renewing workforce that can address complex and constantly evolving technology in a variety of roles at growing companies. To address this important issue, the MassNetComms has partnered with several workforce initiatives in the state that support the technology workforce pipeline.

MassNetComms Education Fund

The MassNetComms Education Fund, through partnerships, and direct programs, is committed to providing its members, the industry, and Massachusetts with a highly educated and technically literate workforce. Its 501c3 status allows for donations from private citizens and foundations who share our vision of supporting youth who excel academically, personally, and technologically.

One of the MassNetComms Education Fund's premiere initiatives is the MassNetComms Technical Scholarship Program. Since its inception the program has provided over a quarter million dollars to to recognize and reward students who demonstrate scholastic aptitude, leadership skills and technical achievements, and to encourage them in their pursuit of a technical degree from a Massachusetts university, college or technical school. With the scholarship, the MassNetComms is looking to entice recipients to remain in the Bay State after graduation.

How Can You Help?

A significant portion of the MassNetComms Education Fund's support comes from our scholarship golf tournament. The tournament offers companies and individuals excellent networking opportunities, along with a fun day of golf that raises money for a good cause. There are several sponsorship opportunities for this event that is held annually in September. If golf is not your game, we encourage you to make a direct contribution to the Fund. The Fund is a 501c3 non profit and all donations are tax deductible. Contact Amy Goggins at amy@massnetcomms.org, or 781-684-0880 for more information on sponsorships or direct contributions.
